Bad Ischl Baptist Church – for English speakers

Bad Ischl Baptist Church is a German speaking church in the middle of the Salzkammergut region of Austria. Our congregation come from all over the central Salzkammergut region, especially the towns of Bad Ischl and Bad Goisern. We are a free church and part of the Austrian Baptist Union and the Free Churches in Austria.

Sunday services

Whether you are living full-time in the Salzkammergut or you are here on holiday, you are very welcome to join us for our worship services at 9h30 every Sunday. The services are in German, but there are normally people about who speak English and we will do our best to make you feel welcome despite the language barrier! Our services are often interactive and creative, so that people of all ages can feel included. Afterwards we normally have coffee and cake and a chance to chat.

Pastoral care and chaplaincy

Our pastor, David Bunce, is a native English speaker and is also available for pastoral care for people of all faiths and none.

The needs for pastoral care are multiple: perhaps you are caught up in a personal crisis, perhaps you are on holiday and illness or death suddenly strike, perhaps you are exploring marriage or wanting to plan a wedding, or have questions when approaching death. Pastoral care walks with people through all these situations and more.
